Softball Game Preview: Dixie County Bears vs. Union County Fightin' Tigers

The Dixie County Bears will venture away from home to square off against the Union County Fightin' Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixie County hasn't scored more than two runs for eight games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Dixie County managed to slip by Bronson the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Dixie County came up short against Bronson on Friday, falling 6-0.

Meanwhile, Union County entered their matchup against Branford on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Union County lost 13-3 to Branford. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Fightin' Tigers have suffered since February 27th.

Courtney Manning was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 9-5. As for Dixie County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Dixie County skirted past Union County 2-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dixie County since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
