Football Recap: Jamarcus Williams and Lincoln Frazier Secure Win for Willis + How To Watch

Willis won the last time they faced Conroe and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildkats were the clear victors by a 31-10 margin over the Tigers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildkats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Tigers are ranked 220th).

Willis was led to victory by Lincoln Frazier and Jamarcus Williams. Frazier threw for 322 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, while Williams gained 132 total yards and two touchdowns. Frazier's passing game has become a key predictor of the Wildkats' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaivion Martin, who picked up 132 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Willis' run defense was locked in: Conroe could only muster three yards per carry. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in September.

Willis is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.7 points over those games. As for Conroe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
