Meanwhile, Sandburg was able to grind out a solid victory over Joliet West on Saturday, taking the game 70-57. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Tigers are ranked 433rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sandburg's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Lincoln-Way East, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Lincoln-Way East came up short against Sandburg in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 53-46. Can Lincoln-Way East avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
