They took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arrows. Newton HomeSchool has not had much luck with Liberty HomeSchool Alliance recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Newton HomeSchool lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaquale Schumm. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 42 points and 30 rebounds. That was a full 71.2% of Newton HomeSchool's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Newton HomeSchool bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Liberty HomeSchool Alliance, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Newton HomeSchool will look to defend their home court on Friday against Goessel at 7:15 p.m. As for Liberty HomeSchool Alliance, they will head out on the road to challenge Altoona-Midway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Altoona-Midway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
