Goldsboro had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 4-8 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Southern Wayne Saints as they made off with a 32-10 win. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Southern Wayne, they dropped their record down to 2-19 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. Saints fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Goldsboro since on Monday.

For Southern Wayne's part, Makayla Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Akeariana Jones also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goldsboro will host Spring Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Gators at the right time seeing as the Gators are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Southern Wayne, they will be playing at home against West Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Saints surely won't give up without a fight.
