Recap: Burlingame Panthers vs. Capuchino Mustangs
The Burlingame Panthers won the last time they faced the Capuchino Mustangs, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Burlingame snuck past Capuchino with a 50-45 win. Given Burlingame's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Capuchino is ranked 942nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Alain Kazarian, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zach Shapiro, who scored five points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.
Burlingame has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Capuchino, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burlingame won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against El Camino at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th. As for Capuchino, they will head out on the road to face off against Lowell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
