Baseball Recap: Swanton Comes Up Short

If Swanton was feeling good fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Toledo Christian on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell 4-0 to the Leipsic Vikings on Tuesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Swanton's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Leipsic, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Swanton will head out on the road to take on Woodmore at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Leipsic, they will take on Holgate in a tournament on Thursday.
