Basketball Recap: Sierra Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Sierra Timberwolves ended up a good deal behind the Patterson Tigers and lost 51-36. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Patterson found their leader in sophomore Jace Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Johnson has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Darian Alvarado, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Sierra's record now sits at 5-10. As for Patterson, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Sierra will head out to face off against Oakdale at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Patterson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-41 loss against Central Catholic on the 4th.
