Saltillo had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Tuesday. They never let the Center Hill Mustangs get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The result came thanks to WILSON RODRIGUEZ's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Saltillo saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DAWSON ARRIOLA, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Saltillo pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Center Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Saltillo will have a chance to go back-to-back against Center Hill: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
