Fort Meade has gone 4-0 against Vanguard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Fort Meade Miners will be home for the holidays to greet the Vanguard Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Fort Meade has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests.

Last Friday, Fort Meade didn't have quite enough to beat DeSoto County and fell 57-55.

Despite the defeat, Fort Meade got top-tier performance from Omari Russell, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Mekhi Berrien, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, Vanguard came up short against Hope Academy on Saturday and fell 73-62. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fort Meade's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Vanguard, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Everything came up roses for Fort Meade against Vanguard in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 68-32 victory. Will Fort Meade repeat their success, or does Vanguard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
