Football Recap: Juan Diego Catholic Falls Short of Sky View in the Playoffs

Juan Diego Catholic and Sky View squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Juan Diego Catholic had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Bobcats and fell 69-14. The Soaring Eagle just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Sky View had a senior duo take command as Jack Clark threw for 287 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of his passes and Xander Stokes rushed for 97 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Clark's passing game has become a key predictor of the Bobcats' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-4 otherwise. Sky View also got help from Cooper Karren, who showed off his sure hands for 95 receiving yards.

Juan Diego Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Sky View, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Juan Diego Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sky View, they will face off against Park City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
