Medina Made His Presence Known in Cotulla's 40-8 Win
Starting off the list is Cotulla's Alex Medina, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Medina rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Cotulla is undefeated when Medina posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Poth pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Stover and Poth will be playing in front of their home fans against Natalia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Garet Gonzales Delivers Electric Effort Vs Young Men's Leadership Academy
Garet Gonzales put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
If history really does repeat itself, Gonzales might just drop another big game when he faces off against Dilley on Friday. Gonzales rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries the last time he and the Wolves duked it out back in October of 2023.

While Savion Nixon-Thompson delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Karnes City. Despite the loss, Nixon-Thompson was still balling out as he rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 137 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
On the season, Nixon-Thompson has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 114.1 passing yards per game.
