Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kennett). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Campbell Camels a 31-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 14 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Kennett got a massive performance out of Lynnley Patterson, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Olivia Raspberry, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and one stolen base.
Kennett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Kennett's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Campbell, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
Coincidentally, Kennett and Campbell will both be playing Caruthersville the next time they take the field. The Indians will head out to face the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Camels will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
