Volleyball Recap: Gresham Community Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Gresham Community entered their tilt with White Lake on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Lakers by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

In the three sets Gresham Community was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-13, 25-11, 25-15.

Allie Cerveny paced Gresham Community's offense, picking up seven kills. Cerveny got some help from Grace Haffner and her 19 assists. Haffner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Gresham Community's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for White Lake, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Gresham Community will face off against rival Tigerton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, White Lake is set to challenge their familiar foe Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
