League recap: Abilene/Solomon's Millican delivers best pitching performance from past week

North Central Kansas league recap: 5/14/12

North Central Kansas's top pitcher this week was Dalton Millican. His stat line for the week included zero wins and seven Ks.

Clay Center has now lost eight straight games, currently the longest losing streak in the league.

Abilene/Solomon boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. The Cowboys have given up a mere 153 hits on the year in addition to compiling 107 strikeouts. Millican is the leader in that category with 37 Ks on the season.

Abilene/Solomon, the league leader in stolen bases this season with 50, added to its lead in that category with 16 more steals over the past week.

The week's strikeout crown belonged to Bryce Meuli, who turned in nine Ks for the Cowboys. With 26 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks third in the league.
