Recap: Sheldon Panthers vs. Ballard Bulldogs
In what's become a running theme this season, the Sheldon Panthers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They blew past Ballard, posting a 45-12 win on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sheldon also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Leading Sheldon to victory were Aiden Bogart and Riley Chapman. Bogart dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Chapman scored 19 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Ryan Godsey, who scored three points along with five rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Ballard saw an underclassman step up: Payson Hill scored eight points.
Sheldon has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Ballard, their defeat was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
Sheldon won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Montrose at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Sheldon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Monday. As for Ballard, they will head out on the road to face off against Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ballard is facing Miami at the right time seeing as Miami is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
