Baseball Recap: Horizon Comes Up Short

Horizon lost against Sunrise Mountain back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Huskies fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 11-10. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kanon Faseler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Colten Figueroa was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Horizon's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Sunrise Mountain, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Coming up, Horizon will take on Basha at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Sunrise Mountain, they will square off against Ironwood at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
