Game recap: Bellevue High School Football Team defeats Mount Si

BELLEVUE, Wash. - Bellevue (Wash.) snapped the six-game winning streak of Mount Si (Snoqualmie, Wash.), with a 52-13 victory on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Budda Baker in the second quarter, the Wolverines led 38-7 at the half.

Bellevue grew its lead to 44 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown.

Tim Haehl and Baker ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Wildcats. Haehl scored two touchdowns on the ground and Baker added two as well.

Mount Si came in allowing just 11.0 points per game this season. Led by Baker, the Wolverines came into the game allowing 7.8 points per game.



When the two teams played each other last season, Bellevue came away with a 49-10 victory.

The defeat comes as a step back for Mount Si, which notched a 49-7 victory over Lake Washington in its previous outing.

Bellevue (7-0) goes up against Liberty in a 2A/3A KingCo game matchup next week, while Mount Si (6-1) locks horns with Mercer Island also in a 2A/3A KingCo game.
