With a playoff win on the line, Wylie rose to the challenge on Thursday. They never let the Rockwall-Heath Hawks get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Pirates have won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Wylie's win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-10. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.6 runs over those games. As for Rockwall-Heath, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-17.

Wylie will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
