Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Hoban Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Olentangy Orange

Archbishop Hoban faced Olentangy Orange in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Knights fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 3-2. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Archbishop Hoban started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-16, 15-11.

Chloe Moore was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 18 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Archbishop Hoban's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Olentangy Orange, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Archbishop Hoban wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against St. Joseph Academy on the 23rd. As for Olentangy Orange, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Olentangy Liberty on the 23rd.
