Basketball Recap: Scotland Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Scotland Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat since January 3rd on Friday. They were outmatched by the Southeastern Christian Academy Warriors and fell 75-36. The loss continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Scotland Christian Academy lost, don't look at Frankie McIntyre. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 19 en route to 20 points and seven rebounds. McIntyre is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last nine games he's played.

Ziyon Smith was his usual excellent self, going 12 of 20 to rack up 25 points along with eight boards and three steals for Southeastern Christian Academy. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolby Smith, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 16 points.

Scotland Christian Academy now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-11.

Coming up, Scotland Christian Academy will face off against Hilltop Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hilltop Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. Southeastern Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
