Basketball Recap: Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Takes a Loss

Summit Charter Collegiate Academy lost against Corcoran back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears were outmatched by the Corcoran Panthers and fell 81-49. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-19.

Javon Bragg was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and almost dropping a double-double on 36 points and nine rebounds for Corcoran. The game was Bragg's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Julian Fernandez, who went 7 of 11 en route to 16 points and six rebounds.

Summit Charter Collegiate Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-8. As for Corcoran, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Summit Charter Collegiate Academy will welcome Wonderful College Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Corcoran, they will venture away from home to face off against Granite Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
