Basketball Recap: Lexington Minutemen vs. Alliance Bulldogs
Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 33-31 heartbreaker at the hands of the Alliance Bulldogs. The Minutemen lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 53-18 score last time.
Alliance's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Macey Seebohm, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. Seebohm has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Weber, who posted 11 points and seven boards.
Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Alliance, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-18.
Lexington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alliance, they will venture away from home to challenge Sidney at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
