Recap: Bayshore Bruins vs. Manatee Hurricanes
While it was all tied up 30-30 at halftime, the Bayshore Bruins were not quite the Manatee Hurricanes's equal in the second half on Wednesday. Bayshore fell 75-68 to Manatee. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bayshore in their matchups with Manatee: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Bruins players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Demetrios Kimon, who scored 15 points along with 5 assists. The game was Kimon's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was William Strawbridge, who scored 16 points.
Bayshore now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Manatee, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayshore will take on Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Manatee won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lennard at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th. Allowing an average of 68.3 points per game, Lennard has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this game.
