Preview: Beulah vs. Garrison/Max
Garrison/Max may have come out ahead in its last game, but it shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. It will have its first chance of the season to defend its home turf as it faces off against Beulah on Friday at 7:00 PM. The odds are against Garrison/Max, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Garrison/Max was able to grind out a solid victory over Berthold/Our Redeemer's Christian/North Shore last week, winning 12 - 0.
As for Beulah, it crushed Stanley last week, winning 40 - 0. No one had a larger role in the success than senior running back Derek Ferebee, who brought his A game into the contest. He picked up 166 yards on the ground.
Their wins bumped Garrison/Max and Beulah up to an identical 1-0. We'll see which team can carry over its success and which team inevitably falls when Garrison/Max and Beulah clash.
