After flying high against Yucaipa last Thursday, Murrieta Mesa came back down to earth. The Rams fell just short of the Rancho Christian Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Rams' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Murrieta Mesa sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-17, 23-25, 15-3.

Airyss Celestine paced Murrieta Mesa's offense, picking up 17 kills. Celestine got some help from Analei Bradley and her 32 assists. Bradley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 10-2-2. As for Rancho Christian, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

Murrieta Mesa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against San Jacinto on the 4th. As for Rancho Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Great Oak on the 4th.
