Conant has gone 8-2 against Buffalo Grove recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Bison at 4:45 p.m. Conant is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Conant made easy work of Rolling Meadows and carried off a 13-3 win. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Sophia Gomez was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ava Falcone, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.

Conant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Buffalo Grove's offense. They lost 6-0 to Fremd on Monday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Bison were not able to get on the board.

Buffalo Grove dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Conant, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Buffalo Grove's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Conant has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Buffalo Grove, though, as they've been averaging only 2.9 strikeouts. Will Conant keep running through batters, or will the Bison buck the trend?

Conant was able to grind out a solid victory over Buffalo Grove when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 6-2. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Bison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
