Volleyball Recap: Williston Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Williston was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Trenton on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Devils fell just short of the Oak Hall Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Red Devils have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Williston took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 27-25, 23-25, 24-26, 25-22, 15-9.

Their offense was headlined by Berkley Brooks and Kai Gowland, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Kailey Davis and her 14 assists. Finally, Gowland was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Williston now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Oak Hall, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

Williston has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Santa Fe on the 30th. As for Oak Hall, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Chiefland on the 25th.
