Baseball Recap: Oregon-Davis Bobcats vs. Triton Trojans
Oregon-Davis extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 16 on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-8 in the process. They came up short against the Triton Trojans, falling 13-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bobcats have suffered against the Trojans since April 5, 2018.
As for Triton, the victory got them back to even at 6-6. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the contest before.
For Triton's part, Max Johnson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Johnson was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddox Dennie, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Ryder Goodman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
