Volleyball Recap: Burbank Extends Winning Streak to Four

Burbank extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Evelyn Flores. Everything went the Bulldogs' way against the Sam Houston Hurricanes on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 win with plenty of help from Flores, who had 12 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

While Burbank won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-7, 25-9.

The victory got Burbank back to even at 12-12. As for Sam Houston, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Burbank will challenge rival Fox Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sam Houston is set to square off against their familiar foe Brackenridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
