Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Plano East couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Byron Nelson Bobcat on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Simone Heard paced Plano East's offense, picking up 12 kills. Heard got some help from Megan Nguyen and her 11 assists. Finally, Jaiden Boutte kept Plano East's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Savannah Sterna went supernova For Byron Nelson., getting 20 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Sterna has posted since back in October. Kaitlyn Francis was another key player, getting 11 digs and one assist.

Plano East's loss dropped their record down to 31-11. As for Byron Nelson, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 40-0.
