Recap: Father Capodanno Grunts vs. Falcon Christian Academy Warriors
The Father Capodanno Grunts suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Falcon Christian Academy, falling 95-32. While losing is never fun, Father Capodanno can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 656th, while Falcon Christian Academy is ranked 230th).
Several Grunts players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sam Attar, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Canon Caps, who scored 12 points.
Father Capodanno struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Falcon Christian Academy racked up 22 assists.
Falcon Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah McGee, who scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McGee has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Meech McDaniel, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Father Capodanno are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12. As for Falcon Christian Academy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Father Capodanno will be playing at home against Falcon Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Falcon Christian Academy is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for they, they will square off against Father Capodanno at 7:00 p.m.
