Volleyball Recap: Mabel-Canton Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Mabel-Canton put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Lanesboro Burros with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Mabel-Canton was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-13.

Kinley Soiney paced Mabel-Canton's offense, picking up 19 kills. Soiney got some help from Gwenyth Rein and her 38 assists. Kaci Wangsness controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Mabel-Canton's record now sits at 7-0. As for Lanesboro, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mabel-Canton will take on rival Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lanesboro is set to square off against their familiar foe Spring Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
