Baseball Game Preview: Del Campo Cougars vs. Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos

For the second straight game, Del Campo will face off against Twelve Bridges. The Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Raging Rhinos at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Del Campo is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Del Campo proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 12) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Twelve Bridges 2-1.

Mitchell Clements spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up eight Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Del Campo is 6-3 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-9-1 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Del Campo's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Placencia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits Placencia has posted since back in March.

Twelve Bridges has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Del Campo, they now have a winning record of 13-12-1.
