Basketball Recap: Martin County Starts Season with Win on the Road

Martin County had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 68-40 win over Blanche Ely. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Martin County had established a 24-point advantage.

Despite the loss, Blanche Ely still got an impressive performance from ROBERT DONALD, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. DONALD is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was ANTHONY EMMANUEL, who posted six points and five boards.

Coming up, Martin County will head out on the road to square off against South Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blanche Ely, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Stranahan at 7:30 p.m.
