Bruce Schulenberg and Austin Weitzenkamp provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Bancroft-Rosalie. The connection was good for 54 yards, the longest such play in D2 District 3 (8 Man) this season.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Lyons-Decatur Northeast beat Humphrey 56-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Alex Brehmer was a beast in the backfield as Lyons-Decatur Northeast defeated the Bulldogs.
Brehmer put up the best numbers through the air as Dan Maresh's team beat Humphrey. He finished with 4 completions for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brehmer's favorite target this week was Dakota Riecken, who caught 2 passes for 44 yards.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brehmer has thrown for 443 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Riecken has 11 catches for 242 yards. Brehmer also leads the league in rushing with 1,165 yards.
At the moment, the Cougars are in first, while St. Francis is in third.
Holy Family took down Newcastle 59-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
