Recap: York Prep Patriots vs. Cheraw Braves
The York Prep Patriots were the 58-51 winner over the Cheraw Braves when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. York Prep took a hard 57-43 fall against Cheraw on Friday. York Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cheraw's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Strong, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Strong continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was De'Shaun Drake, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
York Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Cheraw, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.
York Prep will head out on the road to challenge North Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in North Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 13 games. As for Cheraw, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Buford at 7:30 p.m. Buford comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
