Softball Recap: Shorecrest Scots vs. Meadowdale Mavericks

Shorecrest extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 7-6. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Meadowdale Mavericks. That's two games in a row now that the Scots have lost by just one run.

Lyla Ann Taing made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ruby Smevik, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

As for Meadowdale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since May 5, 2025.

On Meadowdale's side, Peyton Warnock and Sophia Billy did most of the damage at the plate: Warnock went 1-for-4 with one home run, while Billy went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
