Morton has gone 8-2 against Forest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will be home for the holidays to greet the Bearcats at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Morton comes in on eight and Forest on three.

On Tuesday, Morton humbled Hazlehurst with a 55-17 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Forest and Pelahatchie have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Bearcats walked away with a 40-32 victory over the Chiefs. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Chiefs are ranked 208th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Forest's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Morton, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.

Morton was able to grind out a solid win over Forest when the teams last played back in January, winning 38-27. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bearcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
