Basketball Recap: H-L-V Takes a Loss

H-L-V lost against Hillcrest Academy back in February of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The H-L-V Warriors came up short against the Hillcrest Academy Ravens, falling 66-41. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Ravens are ranked 74th).

H-L-V has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Hillcrest Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

H-L-V will head out to challenge Montezuma at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest Academy has already played their next game (against H-L-V/Tri-County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
