Football Game Preview: Eustis Panthers vs. Bishop Moore Hornets + Official Tickets

Eustis hasn't had much luck against Bishop Moore recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will host the Hornets at 7:00 p.m.

Eustis is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 24-14 to Leesburg on Friday.

Meanwhile, Bishop Moore put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Tampa Catholic by a score of 29-20. The 29-point effort marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Eustis better keep an eye on Amar'E Johnson. He was instrumental in Bishop Moore's win, rushing for 270 yards and three scores while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Johnson showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 60 yards.

Bishop Moore was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 324 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive contests.

Bishop Moore's defense made their presence known, laying out Colton Jackson 12 times. Mateo Rivera led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself. Trenton Gummer also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten. Another thorn in Tampa Catholic's side was Cale Britt, who picked up a sack and made 14 total tackles.

Eustis' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bishop Moore, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
