Basketball Game Preview: Fort Defiance Indians vs. Wilson Memorial Green Hornets

The Fort Defiance Indians will square off against the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Defiance has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight defeats, while Wilson Memorial will come in with four straight wins.

Last Friday, Fort Defiance ended up a good deal behind Stuarts Draft and lost 65-49. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Cougars are ranked 105th).

Meanwhile, Wilson Memorial had just enough and edged Buffalo Gap out 46-43 on Friday.

Fort Defiance's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Wilson Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Fort Defiance didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Wilson Memorial in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 50-46 victory.
