Football Game Preview: Lightridge Bolts vs. Riverside Ram + How To Watch

The Lightridge Bolts will square off against the Riverside Ram at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Lightridge will face Riverside after dropping another heartbreaker against John Champe on Friday, which marked the second time in a row the team's come within three of beating them. The Bolts came up short against the Knights, falling 23-3. The Bolts haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Riverside ended up a good deal behind Briar Woods on Friday and lost 24-7. While losing is never fun, the Ram can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Falcons are ranked 103rd).

Lightridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Lightridge against Riverside in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-7 win. In that contest, the Bolts amassed a halftime lead of 28-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
