Basketball Game Preview: Southampton Mariners vs. Bayport-Blue Point Phantoms

The Southampton Mariners are taking a road trip to face off against the Bayport-Blue Point Phantoms at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southampton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 86.1 points per game this season.

Southampton is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Babylon: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Southampton blew Babylon out of the water with a 99-50 final score. Winning may never get old, but the Mariners sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Their victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

As for Bayport-Blue Point, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they had a stellar season and finished 18-5.
