Basketball Recap: Baxter Gets the Win

On Monday, Baxter beat the Iowa Valley Tigers 58-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Baxter.

Baxter's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Iowa Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Baxter will host North Mahaska on Thursday. North Mahaska knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 contests -- so hopefully Baxter likes a good challenge. Iowa Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
