Basketball Recap: Meridian's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Meridian entered their contest against Bosqueville on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Meridian Yellowjackets fell to the Bosqueville Bulldogs 35-31. The match marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meridian's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-2. As for Bosqueville, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meridian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crawford at 1:15 p.m. on December 31st. Bosqueville will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Itasca at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
