Lake Station Edison can bid farewell to their 12-match losing streak thanks to their match on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bowman Academy Eagles. The Fighting Eagles not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 21st (when they won 3-0).

One reason for the win was Lake Station Edison's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-14.

Alexis Vaughan paced Lake Station Edison's offense, picking up ten kills. Vaughan got some help from Lillian Kroledge and her 21 assists. Amari Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Lake Station Edison picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-17. As for Bowman Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Station Edison will welcome 21st Century Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bowman Academy, they will host Gary West Side on Tuesday.
