Soccer Recap: Scituate Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Scituate proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by five) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand the Whitman-Hanson Regional Panthers a 1-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for Scituate, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Scituate has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matches. As for Whitman-Hanson Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Scituate will head out to take on Quincy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitman-Hanson Regional, they will take on Bridgewater-Raynham at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bridgewater-Raynham's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
