Softball Recap: East Moline United Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only East Moline United walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Springfield Senators with a sharp 13-1 win on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

East Moline United saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyse Merrill, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

East Moline United's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-11-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Springfield, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-6.

East Moline United didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Minooka on the 30th. Springfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
