Basketball Recap: Lafayette Hornets vs. Hamilton County Trojans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fort White, Lafayette was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Hamilton County Trojans 63-61. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-56 back in December of 2024.

Leading Lafayette to victory were Jadarius McQuay and Tywan Williamson. McQuay went 6 of 11 en route to 13 points and eight boards, while Williamson went 5 for 7 on his way to 12 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Those 13 points gave McQuay a new career-high. Jordan Murphy was another key player, putting up 13 points.
Despite the loss, Hamilton County still got an impressive performance from Kavon Horne, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylian Gandy, who scored ten points.
